Work Party

We decided to finish the outside our house and needed some experts to assist us with the staining process.
Kevan, Christal, Kristen, and Cody came up and saved the day. The process took about 6 hours of taping and staining.
After the work party we had a large grilling feast!

Grandparents Arrive!!

Our return from Colorado was seamless. Grammy and Grammpy showed up this weekend to welcome little Liam home from his western travels. We had a good time cooking steaks and watching the rain.

Evening Walks and More

Summer evenings are all about walking. When the sun gets low and the magic hour starts the evening glow throughout the canopy we walk. Liam, Chandra, Maka, Luna and I all walked the driveway looking for fun things to see. Snakes, flowers, bugs, and each other. I love hot summer evening, crickets chirp, cicadas sing, birds chirp and Liam babbles through his teething pains to create a melody of sounds only found here in the Ozarks.

Colorado Botanical Gardens

One word.. "HOT!!!!" To beat the heat we headed to the botanical gardens with family and friends. Liam loved the Tropical Gardens with the humidity it reminded him of home. We also toured the Japanese Water Garden where over 10 different lotus flowers were in bloom!

Cookouts in the summer are always fun, especially when they are with family and friends. Auntie Barbarba and Lee did a great job of hosting and the chicken was excellent. Here are some images from the cookout.

Touchdown Denver

Well.... we made it to Denver without a hitch. Direct flights are nice, no layovers or delays. Jason just hit the ground to all the way from Hawaii bringing aloha and coffee. Liam did an excellent job traveling and when you carry the big boy through the airport, what you notice is how many people love 'looking and smiling' at little babies. He is like a moviestar of sorts, a little 18lb attention getter. We had a surprise visit from Miya (so sweet) who brought us bagles and coffee from Einstiens which was sooooo much appreciated. Today is suppose to be hot 100F and at some point we are going to be headed to the Botanical Gardens Stay tuned for more pics from the coming days activities....
